How can I access The New York Times?

The library has an annual subscription which provides free access to the NYT website to students and all employees. To activate your account:

  1. Go to https://nytimesineducation.com/access-nyt/.
  2. Enter school name: Hudson Valley and select “SUNY Hudson Valley Community College”
  3. Click Create Account.
  4. Enter your Hudson Valley email address, such as j-student3@hvcc.edu or m.faculty@hvcc.edu.
  5. Create a password for your new account.
  6. You will receive a confirmation email at your HVCC email address. Click the link to confirm your email address.
  7. Follow the set-up instructions to customize the content you wish to receive (newsletters, etc.).

Additionally, the library has access to current New York Times content in the databases U.S. Major Dailies and Gale OneFile: News. The library does not have a print subscription.
